My freshman year I was in a vocational program at my high school, called the graphic arts academy. I was put into a class for web design where I learned basic html and css. As high school progressed I learned more about Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, & Illustrator. My junior year I learned about Full Sail. Flash forward, I graduated the program as the outstanding student & one of the only students to have been in the web design class all four years.
I started Full Sail University in August 2010. I quickly learned that I didn't know as much as I thought but I knew I was going to learn so much. Long hours, late nights, and lots of coffee, I graduated with my Bachelor's degree. Learning so many best practices, proper web design, and programming languages.
I started working at Synergy Networks in Fort Myers, FL as a web developer. Shortly after starting I started learning more about internet marketing. I created Flash ads for remarketing campaigns, built basic Bootstrap sites, and maintained Google and Bing Ads along with proper SEO best practices.
I was hired at Global Sportsman's Network to bring in my custom development knowledge to help the other talented developers learn more about web development. I worked along side other programmers that didn't know web best practices. I ended up building the entire front end of GSN. Other projects allowed me to hone my front end skills, design skills and learn more frameworks, and platforms.
I've built E-Commerce sites using Open Cart, Big Commerce, WordPress and working on some with Shopify.
I got into every project with the mobile first mentality. This day and age most people are using their phones and tablets to browse the internet. I want to make sure that every site I build looks good from a desktop to a celluar device!
Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is an important part of any website. It's a great way for the website to show in search ranks.
